36 Weeks!

How far along: 36 Weeks.(less than a month to go, oh my gosh!!!!)

Size of Baby: Honeydew.

Neat facts about baby: Her skin is getting smooth and soft, her gums are rigid, her liver and kidneys are in working order, and her circulation and immune system are basically good to go. Her lungs are the only organs that still need to fully mature, but every day she gets a little closer to breathing on her own.

Total weight gain: Guys, I think I have hit the 30 pound mark. My doctor seems pleased with it, so I'm just going to go with it. Blame all of the donuts ;)

What I miss: I still miss everything I listed last week!! I also miss going to the grocery store and not having workers insist on carrying my groceries to my car, even if it's seriously just two boxes of cereal. I can handle two boxes of cereal, guys. I don't like getting help out to my car. I made Josh go to the store with me this weekend just so they wouldn't insist on bringing my groceries out, and they still nearly insisted. It was just silly. Silly, silly.

Sleep: Sleep has not been good this week. I can't find a comfortable position. I wake up a lot and sometimes can't get back to sleep. Our house was cold last night, so that made it hard to sleep, but I had two doggies and a husband on the bed acting like space heaters, so that helped.

Symptoms: Same slight swelling, occasional cramps but they go away quickly, and I'm sleepy (but I blame that on the sleeping issues).

Cravings/Aversions: I still want donuts.

Movement: She's still wiggling in there, although it feels different because she's so squished (little chubby lady). They doctor felt my stomach and says she is head-down like she's supposed to be (YAY!) and the movement I feel on my side is one of her feet. Apparently she has long limbs like her parents :)

Maternity clothes: Still jeans with the BellaBand! I think I may actually make it without buying maternity pants!

Best moments this week: Hanging things in the nursery; it's coming together! Getting the car seat from my office! We'll probably pick up a second base soon and install one of the bases in Josh's car this weekend, since his will probably be the car she comes home in. Carving her pumpkin was fun! We got more hand-me-down clothes and toys from one of Josh's coworkers, which was very nice. I ordered the stroller, although it won't get here for a while. I ordered her a Christmas stocking with her name. My mom ordered her a fancy swing, a giraffe teether I have heard is a must-have, and a lamb that plays soothing sounds to help her sleep!

What I'm looking forward to: I'm not necessarily looking forward to it, because I've heard it's no fun, but installing the car seat! It will make me feel more ready for her :) I'm looking forward to getting some fun stuff in the mail soon! And oddly, I really want to put up Christmas decorations, haha!

Don't worry; it's just sparkling cider :)

Halloween Weekend!

Hello, everyone! Hope you're all coping well with the evil Frankenstorm and actually have electricity to use while reading this blog post! Unlike all of you, I have to work this Monday, and it sucks!

Josh and I started the weekend right with a delicious Outback dinner. We have to get these "romantic" dinners in before the little lady arrives ;) We each had steaks, sodas (holy cow, not too much longer and I can actually order grownup drinks again!), and split a chocolate thunder. It was deeeeeelicious!! I ate so much freaking food - gotta get that protein! I don't recall what we did after dinner, but I'm sure collapsing into a food coma was one of the activities.

Saturday, we woke up and had coffee and waffles. No sausage this weekend, as lazy Kaitlin failed to go to the grocery store. The poor dogs were devastated. We then relaxed around the house for a while and set off on a mission to find suspenders. Who knew they were so hard to find? Of course, Walmart came to our rescue - they have everything! We also swung by my office to pick up our car seat that was delivered late Friday (no way was I staying late to wait for that thing, bwhahah). Most everyone in my office chipped in to get it for us, and we also got a $50 gift card which will go toward the second car seat base. I ordered our stroller off Amazon, which should get to us around my due date or slightly after. Exciting!! We then had lunch at one of my favorite places, Newk's, and I ate my favorite steak and bleu cheese salad. SO GOOD.

When we got back home, it was pumpkin carving time! For the first time ever, we busted out some pumpkin carving kits and stencils. It was actually a lot of fun! Josh carved the grim reaper into his pumpkin and I carved ghosts into mine. I then carved a quick Jack O' Lantern into Caroline's pumpkin (yes, my unborn child gets her own pumpkin), which turned out surprisingly cute! :) I drank some sparkling pumpkin cider, which was delicious, and separated the pumpkin seeds for roasting. It was a lot of fun!!

After pumpkin carving, we got our costumes together and headed to Josh's coworker Sam's Halloween party! We ate some food, drank some drinks (I got to drink punch with the kids - score!), and played some games. Josh and I got runners-up for our costumes. Some scary costume won (I won last year when I was dressed as a peacock). It was a good time! Our costumes turned out cute - Josh's was great! He was Lumbergh from Office Space and I was Joanna from Office Space. Here are the comparisons (I'd say we did pretty well considering the only thing we bought was suspenders:

Sunday, we had a very productive morning (after I ate more waffles). We hung the shelf, the artwork and her initial in the nursery:

It looks super cute!!! I had fun playing in the nursery. It's still coming together, but it's pretty much ready for a little lady if she decided to come early (except for diaper table supplies; that's something I need to take care of!).

We pretty much relaxed for the rest of the day! Had some lunch, had some donuts, roasted some pumpkin seeds, watched some Prometheus, and had some delicious chicken for dinner! I watched Once Upon a Time and Revenge while he caught up with Doug (who has been in TX for two months) on the X-Box. It was a great, lazy Sunday!! :)

GOOD LUCK WITH THE STORM, EVERYONE UP NORTH!!! <3

35 Weeks!

How far along: 35 Weeks.

Size of Baby: Coconut.

Neat facts about baby: Her hearing is fully developed. She has probably reached her birth length, but is still plumping up!

Total weight gain: Well, I forgot to weigh myself. I avoid the scale these days :) I'll get weighed at the doctor's office tomorrow - JOY! (not)

What I miss: I miss my wedding rings, I miss buttoning/zipping my pants, I miss when my flats weren't uncomfortable (may be rocking the flip flops until she shows up), I miss pumpkin beer, I miss being able to put on pants without stumbling because my belly gets in the way, I miss seeing my feet when I look down, I miss when my abs worked and I could sit up without a struggle (Josh enjoys my awkwardness and helps me up a lot)... but it'll be worth it :)

Sleep: Aside from Saturday, the night with no sleep, I'm sleeping okay. I wake up a lot, but can usually go back to sleep pretty quickly!

Symptoms: I don't look swollen, but I must be since my rings don't fit and my feet hurt so bad when I tried to wear flats the other day. Other than that, I really have no symptoms - I feel pretty awesome! I'm really, really lucky.

Cravings/Aversions: Must. Eat. Sweets.

Movement: She's still moving around a lot. Somehow she keeps ending up punching my right side; I have no idea how she's managing to get over there. I'm really curious about how she's positioned in there because I swear my belly has gotten lower; I can feel ribs that I couldn't feel a couple weeks ago. Supposedly they'll start determining her position either at tomorrow's doctor visit, or the next one (I think the weekly visits begin now!!).

Maternity clothes: Still rocking my pre-pregnancy jeans with the belly band! Only a month to go - I really hope I can continue to not need actual maternity clothes. When I get home from work, I'm all about pajama/sweatpants though :)

Best moments this week: The merging of the husband/wife closet space was a sad moment, but it was also a great moment because I got to organize her closet, which cleared up sooo much space in the nursery! I painted her shelf, which will get hung up this weekend. We went to the pumpkin patch, where I got her a pumpkin (I'm weird, yes). I discovered my health insurance may cover the cost of the breast pump, which is amazing because we were prepared to pay $250 for one!!

What I'm looking forward to: Halloween!! This weekend we're carving pumpkins, going to a Halloween party, and drinking some sparkling pumpkin cider I got from The Fresh Market (yay non-boozy treats!). Finishing up the nursery. Getting my car seat (fingers crossed my office gets one for us). My doctor's visit tomorrow. Starting to fill out her baby book :)

Lovely, fall weekend

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! We enjoyed our "fall" weather and had a great, productive weekend :) But now it's Monday. Gross.

Friday, we decided to live it up and go get a nice dinner. We went to the Curry Pot, an Indian restaurant we have always wanted to try. It was delicious. Josh got two Taj Mahal's (an Indian beer) and I had hot chai tea. He ordered the chicken curry with naan and I got the butter chicken minus the naan. Then, we decided to go all out and be adventurous and order desserts. Josh ordered the Gulab Jamun, "two fried cream puffs dipped in cardamom syrup," and I ordered the Rasmalai, "homemade cheese patties served over sweet cream and rose water." They are pictured below. They were... interesting. I don't think we'll be ordering dessert at Indian restaurants again. The entrees were fabulous, though!

Adventurous Indian Desserts
Saturday, I "woke up" at a totally uncool 7:00 a.m. I put "woke up" in quotation marks because I basically did not sleep Saturday night. I don't know what was going on, but my body would not let me sleep. I finally gave up trying and got out of bed, started the coffee, fed the animals, and made myself some waffles (I woke up sooo hungry). I then went into the nursery and organized things for two hours until Joshua woke up. He then had his breakfast, and we relaxed :) We headed out to run some errands (got gas, went to Home Depot... we are very exciting people) and then went to get our pumpkins!! A dude at the pumpkin patch said I was smuggling a pumpkin under my shirt. It does kind of look like that, oh dear. A lady was nice enough to take our photo (below) and we left with three pumpkins (yes, I got one for the baby, I am strange). Next weekend's main activity will be carving them!

After the pumpkin patch, we headed back home where I basically collapsed in bed, due to the lack of sleep I got that night, and napped for an hour. Josh took advantage of the "cool" weather and cleaned up the backyard, treated it for ants/ticks, trimmed the front hedges, and other manly activities. When I woke up, I ate some leftover Indian food and then I painted the shelf that we'll be hanging in the nursery. That was my productive, girly activity for the day. I then did a quick grocery store run to get dinner (potato skins and quesidillas - lazy dinner!). We watched "Hocus Pocus" (I forgot how much I love that movie!), ate our dinner, made some cookies, and watched the FSU v. Miami game. I made it until 10:30 and then dragged myself into bed. Such an old, sleepy lady :)

Sunday, we had eggs and sausage for breakfast (no waffles, you guys must be shocked) and then had another day of productivity! We started to transfer Josh's clothes into my closet (so sad, so sad) and then headed out to do some more errands. We had a delicious lunch at Vertigo Burgers and Fries, a new restaurant. We both had burgers with bleu cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and magic. Seriously, they were soooo good. And we split some sweet potato fries, which were amazing. It was ridiculously overpriced ($26 for two burgers, two sodas, and one order of fries) but so freaking good. We then went to the mall, where we got Josh two new blazers at Penny's. $30 each and they're really nice looking - score!! We then went to the store, and headed home. We finished transferring Josh's clothes into my closet and the dresser, and then I set up the closet for the little lady:

No, I have not been going crazy and buying tons of outfits for the baby. About 49% of the outfits are gifts we have gotten, about 49% are outfits my mom gave me that were mine and my sister's when we were babies (our baby will be fashionable in her vintage outfits), and about 2% is the one outfit I have actually bought her (the FSU onesie is the only thing I have actually bought!). Everyone else has been spoiling her; I'll do that once she's born and can "help me pick out her outfits" :)

Josh made us some amazing steaks for dinner, and then I settled in for some "Once Upon a Time" (holy cow, Captain Hook was quite nice looking) and "Revenge." Then, it was bed time :)

Only 5 more weeks to go until my due date, holy cow!!

34 Weeks!

How far along: 34 Weeks.

Size of Baby: Butternut Squash.

Neat facts about baby: She is listening to my conversations. Oh, dear. I guess I need to calm down with the road rage and start calling people things like "silly meanies" instead of the alternatives... She is urinating about a pint a day. Umm, cute?

Total weight gain: Guys, let's just say I think I have gained more than 25 pounds, eek!

What I miss: I still miss wearing my wedding rings. I miss not changing twenty times in the morning because the shirt that fit a week ago now resembles a bra. I miss wine, but I get to drink it again (in moderation, of course) SO soon!

Sleep: Eh, I am actually sleeping better than a couple weeks ago, but not as well as I usually do. Oh, well :)

Symptoms: My legs and the bottoms of my feet keep getting sooo sore if I walk or stand for long periods of time (i.e. If I take a long, relaxing shower, my feet hurt SO bad afterward). I think they don't like all of the extra weight I have gained. Other than that, I feel awesome!

Cravings/Aversions: I am still just wanting sweets, although I try to limit myself to one sweet item per day. Like, if I have donuts in the morning, I'll skip on the ice cream that night. Don't want to overdo it too much!

Movement: She is still SO wiggly! And it's like all over wiggling. Sometimes it's near my belly button, sometimes it's further down, and she is somehow even punching my sides. I have no clue how she's positioned right now (she's supposed to be head down by this point) but I swear she has spread herself out like a freaking starfish somehow.

Maternity clothes: I still haven't bought anything but the BellaBand. I am trying not to buy anything that I won't wear afterward (I am not wealthy enough for $50 maternity jeans)!

Best moments this week: My doctor's visit on Wednesday where the baby and I received an "A+" - apparently my iron levels are so amazing that the nurse actually said "wow" after the reading. I don't know what, but I must be doing something right! Finding more items for the nursery, unpacking all of the amazing items from my shower, and cleaning baby clothes were all super fun activities. Josh thinks I'm absolutely nuts with all of this nesting, but boys just don't understand :)

What I'm looking forward to: Playing in the nursery some more!!!

Weekend of Nesting and Resting.

Hello, friends! You guys rock, unlike stupid Monday, which does not rock. At all. I would rather be anywhere but in this office today (well, maybe not anywhere, but you know what I mean). Therefore, I will blog to distract myself from the sad fact that I am here.

Josh and I had a lovely weekend. Friday night, we rented "Snow White and the Huntsman." I picked it up from the Redbox at Walmart and also did some grocery shopping there. I have decided that no matter how much money may be saved by shopping at Walmart, it is a sad place that I do not like. People are obnoxious, the check-out people are sooooo slooooow, the people at the Redbox took like ten minutes to find a movie when mine was already reserved online and I took a whopping ten seconds, and I swear someone hit the front of my car in the parking lot. My rant is over. Anyway, we ate some leftover spaghetti and watched the movie. The movie was great, but would have been SO much better if Kristen Stewart was not in it. Why they decided to cast her as Snow White is beyond me. I was just happy to have an excuse to stare at Chris Hemsworth ;)

Saturday, Josh made one of his amazing breakfasts! We had waffles, bacon (An entire pack. The dogs helped. Some.), coffee, and orange juice. It was amazing :) We then relaxed for a bit and set out on our shopping mission. I grabbed a smoothie for lunch and then we went all over Tallahassee in search of: a futon for our guest room to accommodate all of our upcoming visitors, an ottoman for the nursery, a laundry basket for the nursery, and storage for the closet. We found a futon we will probably end up getting, but nothing else on the list. We did, however, find a queen sized bed we loved at Ashley Furniture, which would look great in our master bedroom... we shall see!! We then made sure we returned home to catch the FSU v. Boston College game. I made us some buffalo chicken dip and "watched" the game. It wasn't very exciting because we kicked their butts, but the buffalo chicken dip was delicious! I got the box from my mom with the rest of my baby shower gifts that didn't fit in my luggage, and found some new goodies in there (tiny baby socks and tiny baby pants, awwww) - thanks, mom! When the game was over, Josh went to play a video game and I "watched TV," which basically means Josh came out to get a beer and found me asleep on the couch. He put this old, pregnant, sleepy lady to bed.

Sunday, Josh made another amazing breakfast - same as Saturday, but with sausage :) The dogs love weekends because they get the leftover bacon/sausage. Spoiled children! We then relaxed around the house, put up some Halloween decorations, and headed out for more productivity. I grabbed another smoothie for lunch (after enormous breakfasts, that's about all I can handle!) and we went to Best Buy for Josh to get "Aliens" and he ended up getting "Prometheus" too. I wanted to get the special edition of Cinderella on Blu-Ray for the little lady, but there was no way I was going to pay $30 for it. Sorry, Caroline, you'll have to wait :) We then searched more for Saturday's items. We ended up finding an ottoman, laundry basket, and closet storage at Target - SUCCESS!! I would post pictures, but the nursery is a disaster at the moment, so that will have to wait. We returned home where I "made" cookies (put premade dough into the oven) and I started cleaning lots and lots of baby clothes :) I played in the nursery for most of the afternoon and then made one of my favorite meals for dinner. Hamburgers with an amazing gravy (one of my favorite recipes from my mom), mashed potatoes, and roasted broccoli. The end result was amazing, but I had some "pregnancy brain" moments trying to get there. Thank goodness I have Josh to act as my clean up crew haha. After dinner we video chatted with Josh's parents for a bit, and then I watched my Sunday night TV :)

This week I plan on nesting some more (and resting some more) so I can post some pictures of the nursery!

Double Blog Action: Baby Shower and 33 Weeks!

So, Monday is usually my "weekend summary" blog and Tuesday is usually my "pregnancy survey" blog, but seeing as I did not blog on Monday and seeing as today is Tuesday, I am going to combine the two. Prepare yourself for a long blog!

BABY SHOWER WEEKEND!

On Wednesday, I flew to Virginia for my baby shower. My direct flight made me never, ever want a layover again; I felt so much more relaxed when I didn't have to worry about a layover!  Jessica met me (and "Ember") at the airport, with a donut in hand! That's what friends are for :) She acted as my luggage carrier on the Metro and we then met Allison, and her roommate Kate, for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Tenleytown. I had a delicious virgin daiquiri and tacos! We then said our goodbyes to Jessica and headed up to Maryland. Allison's new apartment is soooo nice. The little sister is moving up in the world :)

Thursday was a day of productivity for me and Allison. We went on a mission to find party favors and prizes for my baby shower. We went to Michaels, TJ Maxx, and a fancy Target where shopping carts ride up escalators!  Toto, I don't think we're in Tallahassee anymore ;) We also went to my new favorite store: Buy Buy Baby. WHY could I have not had this store before registering? It was so nice to see items in person and presented nicely. Dear Tallahassee: Get a Buy Buy Baby pronto! We went to PF Chang's for lunch, which was as amazing as I remembered! We then went back to her apartment for arts and crafts. We created games, goodie bags, and prize bags! We then went to a market by her apartment to get food for dinner, and I chose wine to give my baby shower hostesses :) Being pregnant and in the wine section made me feel like a bad mom, but I'm hoping the wine gift bags made it obvious I was not about to chug three bottles of wine! Allison and I then made dinner, did more arts and crafts, and watched Glee!

Friday, we made eggs and sausage for breakfast. This was my first time scrambling eggs and they were actually great! We finalized all of the games and goodies, and then headed to Virginia to drop them off at Jessica's apartment. My GPS decided it wanted to be difficult, so the drive was a bit odd, but we made it! We dropped everything off and then got some lunch with Jessica - I had grilled cheese of the adult nature, and it was marvelous! After we left Jessica, we set off to find a move theater. Again, my GPS was being evil, and it was quite the journey, but we found a theater! We saw "Pitch Perfect" which was really cute! We then decided to just head back to the apartment and relax (the stress created from GPS was exhausting). We ordered some takeout Greek food and watched "A Beautiful Mind."

Saturday, I woke up incredibly early due to excitement of my baby shower! Allison and I got breakfast at a pancake house near her apartment. I ate six pancakes and three strips of bacon. Hello, pregnancy appetite! We then awkwardly rode the Metro with our luggage and went to Jessica's apartment to get our baby shower on! The apartment looked aaaamazing!! Jessica did such a great job decorating :) The shower was so much fun. It was so great to see everyone, some of whom I haven't seen in a long time! The food was great, the drinks (sparkling pink lemonade for me) were great, the games were great, the gifts were amazingly adorable (I sure hope the doctor's office was right when they said she was a girl, or else that's going to be a boy with a lot of pink!), and the company was amazing! Allison, Jessica, and Holly did a great job with everything - love you girls!! After the shower, my mom, aunt Linda, Allison and I headed back to Richmond. My mom, dad, grandma, Allison, and I then went to Anna's for dinner - their baked spaghetti makes my heart happy! Then we went home and I got to see the pups; it was a good night :)

Sunday, my dad made breakfast - eggs and sausage! We then did a bunch of stuff around the house and headed off to Short Pump, the most magical mall in the world. First, we had some awesome Mexican food - delish! Short Pump was fun. Allison got some new luggage and I got new luggage tags. We looked at lots of cute baby stuff :) After our shopping adventure, we headed back home. Allison and I looked through some old pictures and OMG was I an awkward teenager. They were some of the funniest pictures ever; I had issues. Then my mom made and awesome dinner! My dad and I watched "Revenge" together, which was amazing. It was fun watching it with him :)

Monday, my mom drove me and Allison to the train station, with a pit stop at Dunkin Donuts! Allison and I awkwardly got our luggage on the train and headed to Alexandria. On the train, I taught her how to play chess on her iPad. Yeah, I was teaching her how to play and yet she kicked my bum!! When we arrived in Alexandria we awkwardly got my luggage from the train station, to the Metro, to the airport. I could not have done it without her, no way!! We then said our goodbyes and I went through security three hours early. Food, people watching, and a book kept me busy! I had another direct flight, which was equally as awesome, and then got picked up at the airport by my hubby :) Holy cow did we have some happy dogs when we got home! Ellie was crying out of happiness when she saw me; I adore them! We then went to Chili's for dinner and caught up on everything; it was nice! I was exhausted by the time we got home and basically uploaded pictures and collapsed into bed.

And now I'm at work. Gross.

33 WEEK SURVEY!

How far along: 33 Weeks.

Size of Baby: Durian Fruit, whatever that is.

Neat facts about baby: She's keeping her eyes open while she's awake. She's also starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Her bones are hardening. And she's going through more brain development :)

Total weight gain: I have lost any perception of how much weight I have gained - I have another doctor's visit tomorrow, so we shall see.

What I miss: I miss my family and friends already, whomp whomp :(

Sleep: Eh, same old, same old. Not sleeping too great these days!

Symptoms: My legs get tired super easily and my hands must still be swollen because my rings don't fit.

Cravings/Aversions: I actually haven't been craving much this week, although a white hot chocolate would be wonderful right now :)

Movement: She's still moving a lot! She wiggled nonstop on both of my flights, on the Metro, and on the train. She either hates or loves travel!

Maternity clothes: I haven't bought any but my jeans are getting so uncomfortable in the belly region :(

Best moments this week: THE BABY SHOWER!!!!!!!!

What I'm looking forward to: Setting up the nursery with all our new, pretty things! Cleaning clothes and putting them into the closet! Hopefully getting our stroller/carseat soon...

32 Weeks!

How far along: 32 Weeks.

Size of Baby: Squash.

Neat facts about baby: She is probably turned so she's in the head down position by now, ready to travel down the birth canal (I feel like she has been like that for a while now, based on where her hiccups come from).

Total weight gain: I forgot to weigh myself this morning, whomp whomp. The scale is a scary thing these days.

What I miss: I miss my wedding rings! I miss zipping my pants! I miss dress shopping for my normal body! I miss sleep :(

Sleep: I have been sleeping terribly lately! Part of that is from our tick infestation mentioned in yesterday's post. I actually wake up to feel ticks crawling on me, and it is giving me bad dreams. Rawr!

Symptoms: Shortness of breath, my hands are still "swollen" (they don't look swollen, but my rings don't fit), my legs get tired quickly, and my belly is itchy!

Cravings/Aversions: Donuts. "Normal" Kaitlin doesn't even like donuts that much. Pregnant Kaitlin neeeeeds donuts. Preferably with decaf iced coffees mmmmmmmmmmm.

Movement: She's still moving around in there :) There is a lot of kicking going on in the belly button region; I'm wondering if that's where her feet are. My stomach bulges out in strange ways depending on how she is positioning herself.

Maternity clothes: Haven't bought anything maternity yet, but my BellaBand is a lifesaver! My pants basically don't zip anymore, and the band is helping me out a lot!

Best moments this week: Putting the crib together, for sure. We then arranged the nursery how we like it and it looked so nice (afterward, we moved all the baby stuff back in so it's not so pretty again, but I'll start organizing soon!)

What I'm looking forward to: BABY SHOWER! SEEING EVERYONE! WEEEEEEE!

The belly and the Ellie!! <3

Nesting and Donuts.

Monday sucks. There, got that over with!

We had a lovely weekend. I got off work at 3:30 on Friday and headed out in search of a baby shower dress. No luck, whomp whomp. When Josh got home, we took the dogs for a very nice walk around the block. They have not been allowed in the backyard for about a week now due to a tick infestation we're dealing with, so they needed some exercise (and Miss Pregger here needed some, too). After the walk, our plan was to grill some chicken and make salads. I felt too lazy to chop veggies, so Josh grilles some Bubba Burgers :) We then watched the first episode of Sons of Anarchy, a show Josh is interested in. I think it's a little too manly for me (although one of the lead characters is mighty cute!)

Saturday, we had our typical weekend breakfast. You guessed it: coffee, orange juice, waffles and sausage! After breakfast, we took the doggies for another walk around the neighborhood. This time we walked to one of the lakes in our neighborhood and discovered a bunch of nice houses we'll never be able to afford, whomp whomp. We then decided to go to Thomasville, Georgia to look at guest beds. We figure we're going to have a lot of guests in a couple of months, because everyone loves seeing new babies, and they all need somewhere to sleep! We found a bed we like, but may consider looking for a nice futon, since the room is also an office/TV room. Downtown Thomasville was fun. Lots of fun little shops to look around. We didn't see a single piece of furniture downtown, but it was still nice. We went to a Mexican restaurant and sat on the patio. Mistake. The "loud, southern woman club" was apparently holding a meeting because, oh my gosh, Josh and I couldn't hear each other talk. He ended up texting me some things because I couldn't hear him. Ridiculous. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it came out on the rocks, not frozen. A little strange as it was basically Kool-Aid at that point, but whatever. It came in a pretty glass :) We then went to Thomasville Toyota, where Josh got his Altima, and looked around for future (far in the future; I love my Jeep) mommy mobiles for me. We think eventually we'll end up with a larger SUV to drive around the baby and the pups - the Jeep gets a little tight sometimes.

Our plan was to put the crib together that afternoon, but Thomasville kind of wore us out. That loud, southern woman club was certainly exhausting. So, we both relaxed in our own ways. Josh made me a bath and I sat in there while watching Breakfast at Tiffany's (all that was missing was a glass of wine; silly baby). And Josh played his video games. We finally made our grilled chicken salad, which was quite tasty. Then "we" watched the FSU football game. I didn't really watch, though - not as exciting as the Clemson game.

Sunday, I woke up and went to Dunkin Donuts to get donuts. I got a dozen donuts for two people. A bit excessive, yes, but when you have a "buy six donuts, get six donuts free" coupon, it's necessary.

nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom
While I did that, Josh started laying out everything for the crib. It took a couple hours to assemble, mostly because of one screwed up screw (bahahaha). There was minor cussing (due to that pesky screw), one clumsy incident (I sort of dropped the headboard at one point), and lots of "help" from our pets. Once we got it done, we played around with different nursery layouts (we only have three pieces of furniture in there, so it was pretty simple) and finally decided on a layout that worked! No clue if it'll stay like we have it, but it works for now :)

The crib!!
Rocking chair! Just need an ottoman :)
Changing table! Obviously we haven't cleaned out the closet yet..
After that, I set off to look at more dresses. I looked at every dress in the freaking mall and found one dress that fit me, wasn't like 80 bucks, and wasn't ugly. It was only $15 at Sears - can't beat that! I then got myself a smoothie (needed some nutrients after living off donuts all day) and headed home. Josh and I hung out, grilled some steaks for dinner, and then I watched two of my favorite shows: Once Upon a Time and Revenge! Then, it was bed time :)

Now, I only have to survive two and a half days of work and then I'm VIRGINIA BOUND!!!! Can't wait <3 <3 <3
