Attempting to type a blog... :)

... While Miss Tollie is having a love attack, haha! Funny lady keeps rubbing against my hands as I try to type! Josh is downstairs watching the puppies, and I'm up here with the kittens :)

We had a very nice weekend.  Saturday morning, we packed up the dogs, said bye to the cats, and went down to Clearwater. We hung out at the Kellards' for a bit (Ellie was a hit!), then off to Robin (Josh's cousin) and Chris's wedding at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. It was on the water, and despite the ominous clouds, only a few drops of rain! We had a very nice time :) We even got back to the Kellard's to catch the tail end of Josh's grandpa's 80th Birthday.

Sunday we hung out at the Condo and then spent some time at St John's Pass with Josh's mom - it was fun! A lot of cute little beach shops. We then ate lunch with the girl that babysat Josh as a kid. Haha :) Good stories, of course! Then, home to the kitties!

We've been very sleepy this week. Taking Ellie out a few times a night is taking its toll on us, definitely. We took the dogs for a walk tonight and were dragging more than them! I'm definitely going to bed early tonight. Definitely!

I'LL BE HOME ON FRIDAY! Er, super early on Saturday, but still... YAY!!!

Ellieeee!

First off, HAPPY BELATED 21ST BIRTHDAY TO ALLISON!

Second off, HAPPY BELATED FATHER'S DAY TO DAAAAD!

Third off, HAPPY ENGAGEMENT TO HOLLY!

Fourth off, HI MOM!

Fifth off, HI JESSICA! FOOD <3

(does anyone else read this?)

Sixth off, I apologize for being a complete slacker.

Seventh off, WE GOT A PUPPYY!

Yes. We are crazy.

Her name is Ellie. She is a chocolate lab. She is 6 weeks old. She is a smelly Ellie <3 We have learned that 6 weeks is probably too young for her to be taken away for her mom. She's definitely having separation anxiety, but we've been helping her through it as much as we can! The first night, she slept in the bathroom and it was a disaster. Cried all night. No sleep for us! The second night, we started with the box method my mom suggested - we put a box with towels and toys on Josh's side of the bed, so he could comfort her when she started yelping. That didn't last long because of the constant scratching on the side of the box in an attempt to get out. So, we spoiled her. She slept on the bed with us :) She did okay. But still, no sleep for us. She is such a sweet little lady, though. And she's been good about not pooping/peeing in the house (except for a little incident this morning where she pooped on my foot... on accident!) Wrangler likes her but is still iffy. The cats are a little freaked out by her. It's so funny to see how much bigger than her they are! Monster kittens!!!! Sooooo, here's Miss Ellie:

Let's see... in other news, I got a haircut (photo below, with a cameo by miss Tollie <3). Ummm, I made an amazing chicken dish Friday night (photo below). We're going to a wedding and an 80th birthday party this weekend. Weekend after that - VIRGINIA! Oh, how I've missed you so! I'm very excited for a visit. Umm, our lake is gone. Someone mowed the grass that grew where I lake used to be. It was kind of sad. Joshua took Ellie to the vet today, and had to go to the office after. Ellie is going with him to his office to say hello! She's healthy :) So, it's just me, the cats (they're having a box party), and Wrangler (he's sleeping under the table), just like the old days, haha! Tonight, I cook SPAGHETTI! I'm currently beveraging on a Bud Light - gotta cut them calories! Next week I'm going to dance classes - we had to reschedule from this week to next week. Ummm, a red ant bit my foot, and it's obnoxiously itchy. But as long as it didn't bite Joshua's foot, I'm okay. What else? I need to buy wrapping paper for this wedding gift - crappos! I forgot :) Ummmm, wow I'm boring. But I got bugged by a certain mom of mine to blog.

Haircut & Tollie!

Mmm, chicken!

Alcoholic, ahem coffeeholic, wifey signing out!

Work is Boring, Blogging is Not.

Yikes, haven't blogged since Friday. No fear, a blog is here!

Sooooooo, Saturday I went to be the beach with Jessica Dial, a girl I worked at T-Formation with back in the day, and a couple of her friends. Wrangler crashed girls' day. He had a blast!! He swam, rolled in the sand, played fetch, made friends with another lab, and was a smelly, sandy dog afterward (there was definitely a bath for him that night). Poor boy, I wore him out. He could barely walk Saturday night. I think he's recovered now, though :) But it was a very fun day! It's always nice catching up with people you haven't see for a while, and I think Joshua enjoyed his "man" day (which was sadly spent trying to fix our crappy internet).

Saturday night, we relaxed and had an Entourage marathon - it was awesome!

Sunday, we had a lovely Outback date!! My boss gave me a coupon, $5 off, so we had a nice lunch outside. Steak, Shocktop, grilled shrimp, caesar salad, and brocoli, nom nom nom nom. Delicious! After lunch, we headed over to Best Buy (Josh's favorite store) and got two movies: Atonement & The Rock. Then, we met up with Karen and her fiance (brain fart on his name, rawr!) for frozen yogurt! They had just saved the day and called the police on a dude that had closed his baby up in the car with no windows down - totally uncool, especially in Florida heat. We had fun hanging out with them, but then it started pouring and we headed out. We had a movie/rotisserie chicken night. Both movies were great! Atonement is a favorite of mine, and Josh loves The Rock and I ended up loving it, too (all 2 freaking hours of it).

Monday, I worked. Tuesday, I worked. Today, I work.

No fancy pants cooking updates! I didn't feel well this weekend, so I didn't cook anything. Monday and Tuesday were grilled cheese and tomato soup nights, mmmmmmm! Not sure what tonight will bring :)

I'm excited to visit VA soon, yaaaaay! Two and a half weeks to go!!

Allergies Schmallergies.

Ugh, I am not one to get allergies, but I feel absolutely dreadful right now! Something around here has got me feeling congested, tired, headache-y, etc., etc., etc. Rawr! I just took a two our nap on the sofa because I felt so crappy. I didn't even have the energy to cook tonight, so we got Chinese. Even after a two hour nap, I still feel sleepy and will probably go to bed soon. Such a cool, hip, and fun Friday night I'm having :)

On a brighter note, I get to go to the beach tomorrow! Me, a girl I used to work with, and another girl I've never met are going to Alligator Point (mom, I know you like the name of that), which is just an hour south of Tallahassee. Wrangler-dog is going to crash girls day though, because he is a beach lover!! Should be a fun day :)

Joshua is playing his video game right now and is on his headset talking to Doug. They say the strangest things while playing. Silly boys!

I'm incredibly boring today, but I figured I'd squeeze in a blog since I've been slacking. Love you all and hope to see everyone soon!

Lazy Sunday, Blogging in the Late Afternoon.

In case you're silly and don't know where that title came from: Lookie Here!!

This has, in fact, been a very lazy weekend. Yesterday, Joshua wasn't feeling well at all (we think he may just have allergies from something that just bloomed), so we kind of laid low all day.  I went on a solo mission to the grocery store, but stopped at the brand new Hobby Lobby first. It is actually quite amazing. I got two 5x7 frames FINALLY for two wedding pictures I've been wanting to frame - the family photos:

They're finally in their rightful place on our mantle :) I also got a photo memory box that I'm going to put wedding pictures on, and wedding "memories" (ie: cork from the champagne from our stay at the Jefferson, which Josh did a great job of holding onto!) will go inside :) Fun art project for me, so yay!

I made steak fajitas for lunch yesterday! They turned out really great, and were very photogenic, so here they are :)

Mmmm, so after our feast, we were in food comas and laid on the couch watching some terrible movie from 2002 called "Get Over It" - I don't think I'd ever seen it, and have no intention of seeing it again. Once Joshua was feeling better (yay!) we went on a Best Buy run, a wedding gift run, and then an iHop run! Mmmmm quick two egg breakfast and coffee makes a great dinner :)

After our breakfast/dinner hybrid, we hit up the Redbox for a night of horror movies. First, it was "Sorority Row"- yes, it was as lame as it sounded. The suspense was great, but the plot was ridiculous. After that it was "I Spit on Your Grave" - a remake of an older movie. So. Freaking. Disturbing. I had a hard time watching it. Watch the trailer if you want (here), it's a hard film to watch, but it was good. Gave me creepy dreams though!

Today has been very lazy. We hung around this morning, got FroYo for lunch (frozen yogurt for the unhip bunch!), and then hung around some more. I just got back from the store - sloppy joe's for dinner!

So this has, indeed, been the epitome of a lazy, relaxing weekend, and it has been amazing!

Hooray for the weekend!

Good morning, everyone! I honestly don't have much to talk about on here because this week was all work, no play, which makes Kaitlin a very dull girl.

Let's see. What have we been up to this week? No exciting meals cooked by me. Walked to the pizza place near our house last night, for the have amazing chicken parmesan (lasagna for the boy). Sadly, terrible service though. We were ignored the whole time, my drink was empty for half of the meal, and our waitress was socializing with coworkers the entire time. Rawr!! Josh left her a 10% tip with a note to stop socializing and actually wait tables. TAKE THAT, OBNOXIOUS BIATCH!

We cuddled up in bed and watched office space last night. Josh wasn't feeling well so it was a low key kind of night (I'm wondering if he's still feeling effects of his red ant bite on Monday, but not sure). He's still in bed right now; I've been up since 7. I walked the dog, fed the dog, fed the cats, did the dishes, unloaded the dishwasher, made the coffee, ate the cereal, cleaned up Parker's mess (effer knocked over my flower vase!), and wrote a blog. SUCCESSFUL MORNING? I SAY YES!

We have zero plans this weekend. We'll see where the days take us! Hopefully Joshua will feel better and it will shape up to be a lovely weekend :)

Bye, friends!!
