A very boring update.

Hello!!!! I have absolutely nothing of interest to type about, but I did not want any of you to think I was a blog abandoner. SO, I took a couple lovely photographs of myself bored at my desk on this beautiful Friday afternoon.

Such beautiful pictures. This is my office. Photo 1 shows me displaying the lovely "duck face" that is a popular pose amongst teenagers on the interwebs. I decided to give it a try. Quack! Please blame it on the beer in my red solo cup displayed in the second picture (I lied; there is no beer, but it's fun to think there is). Yes, I'm a four-eyed nerd today. Yes, it's because I had a headache this morning. Yes, I'm all better now, thanks for asking. I hope you enjoyed my lovely photoshoot that was just for you guys!

Actually, I thought of something interesting. My hubby-boo found this article last night:

http://www.wctv.tv/mobi/breaking?storyid=140096983

It's about a claim made that prosecutors in Tallahassee "over prosecute" black people, stating " the ratio of black and white juveniles who are charged as adults in the Leon County Jail is 10 to one." May I draw your attention to this line? "Meggs told us that most juveniles are being charged as adults these days because he says his office is having very little success prosecuting them in juvenile court." Why, you may ask, would they be having little success prosecuting them in the juvenile court? Oh, that's because the head of the juvenile division of the Regional Conflict Counsel is kickass. Who oh who would that individual be? My husband is that person kicking ass and taking names, forcing prosecutors to move cases to the adult docket so they don't have to be tried in juvenile court against him. So proud :)

Okay, adoring fans, I must get back to work!

Pre-Bed Blog

Hello, there! I hope you all had a lovely weekend :) Ours was quite lovely!

I got new flip flops from American Eagle this weekend - score! I got some shorts, actually make that "jorts," for summer - score! We got a crab print/painting/thing, which has inspired me to make our guest bathroom have a nautical theme - score!

We watched some good movies this weekend:

50/50 - seriously so good. I think it was one of the best movies I have seen in a while, actually. We enjoyed it :)

Drive - pretty good movie; didn't enjoy it as much as 50/50. However, I did get to stare at Ryan Gosling, and the soundtrack was pretty awesome.

Real Steel - good movie. A bit predictable, but definitely cute. And, I got to stare at Hugh Jackman. Bahahahaha, I'm such a girl.

Saturday was a "rainy day." I put this in quotations, because according to the weather channel, it was supposed to rain all day. Well, we planned our day around this ominous rain. I made crockpot chicken, we hit the mall early to beat the rain, and we rented movies perfect for a rainy day. Yeah, it didn't rain until like 3am Sunday. Lovely, Mr. Forecaster Man Dude.

Today was gorgeous! Sooo much sunshine and warm weather. I went out for a "Kaitlin shopping day" with a tank top, jeans, and flip flops on, and the windows down. It was so nice! And we grilled some chicken for dinner and mixed it into salad. Lovely day!

As always, MISS YOU GUYS! I apologize for the slightly boring blog, but it was an amazingly boring, relaxing weekend; perfection.

xoxo

Friday is my BFF.

No, you're not hallucinating. I am actually blogging again. For the second day in a row. APPLAUSE. I am hoping to not abandon my thousands and thousands of readers ;) That may be a bit of an exaggeration, though.

I actually have nothing exciting to say, and nothing really to update from yesterday. Let's see, what have I done in the last, like, 12 hours? I watched Wednesday night's Revenge - SO. GOOD. I picked up some premade pork chop thingies from Publix that Joshua and I love. Oh man, so good, and great for weeknights! I roasted some asparagus to go with it and BAM easy dinner. I watched The Big Bang Theory; obsessed. Ugh, it's so cute. I then kind of spaced out for half an hour and played on my lappy toppy (my strange nickname for the laptop) since nothing good was on TV from 8:30-9:00. Then, it was Project Runway All Stars time! The fashion major in me loves that show :) The husband had a nerd session while I watched my girly shows; I love my nerd.

We have zero, yes zero, plans for the weekend. Well, except for filing our taxes. I don't really see that as a "plan," but more of an obligation. Hoping for a decent tax return! It's going straight toward paying off the Altima; the less debt, the better!

We have been stalking the internet for ideas for a bathroom remodel. I adore our cute little house, but the bathrooms are kind of dreadful. Who puts wood floors in a bathroom? Who? It's dumb. And our cabinets; no thank you. We seem to have the same ideas for the bathrooms (must. have. more. storage.), sooo yay!

And we need a deck. Desperately.  As much as I just love our concrete slab ;) we need a deck.

Who has a money treeeeeeee?

SLACKAHONTAS

Thank you, mother dearest, for calling me out as a SLACKAHONTAS. I am, indeed, a SLACKAHONTAS. I am incredibly sorry to everyone for being such a SLACKAHONTAS. I space out and forget to update. Oh, dear. I contemplated starting up a new blog completely, as I find it fun to start these from fresh. HOWEVER, I just can't abandon my coffeeholic tales.

Life update? OOKAAAAY.

Tuesday was Valentine's Day! We did a "no presents allowed" Valentine's Day, and opted for a nice dinner instead. WELL, we failed. I made him a card and bought him a heart shaped piece of fudge with a nerdy plastic label which said, "U R 2 COOL." I broke the bank at a whopping $1.98 for this gift. Oops ;) Joshua surprised me at work Tuesday with my present. He was apparently thinking to himself, "What would Kaitlin like? Well, Kaitlin likes Chinese food. She needs chop sticks; CHOPS STICKS!" He did a fancy pants Google search to locate chopsticks in Tallahassee, and BAM, got me some chopsticks.

Behold, my chopsticks:

In honor of my new chopsticks, we got some Thai food and a bottle of wine and had a nice dinner at home :) I tried to use my chopsticks to eat my Pad Se Ew, I truly did, but after two bites I opted for the fork. Fail boat, guys.

Sooo, since I last posted, we have had visits from Josh's dad and Josh's mom, at different times. Both were quite lovely! Josh took a trip to St. Petersberg to clean out his grandparents' garage, and now our garage is super duper cool, filled with tools I have no idea how to use. NICE.

You know what's exciting, you guys? I purchased a plane ticket.

Who? ME
What? I plane ticket, goofs.
Where? VIRGINIA!
When? May 17th-21st
Why? Allison is GRADUATING!

OMG I am so excited. SUNDRESSES! Yes, I get excited about the opportunity to rock a sundress. Winter, go away. I actually found a store while we were waiting for our Thai food and I now want everything in it. Literally. It's like someone stole my dream closet and stuck it in a store. NAKAMURA, it's like a mini Anthropologie in a boutique setting. Visit and I will take you. Oh yeah, and it's like a quarter of the cost. Anywho, YAY PLANE TICKET.

We have been grilling a lot - lots of steaks, burgers, and chicken, mmm. The other night we grilled chicken and stuck it on salads with lots of yummy veggies. Tasty and healthy!

The four-legged children are all doing well. Ellie is now queen of her crate, and we're testing to see how Wrangler does staying in the bedroom with her instead of being locked in the bathroom. So far, so good; and it's good incentive to keep the bedroom clean so he doesn't eat anything :) The cats are their usual mischievous little selves, of course!

Hmmmmm, so I MISS EVERYONE. I wish we could all take a private jet to a beach somewhere and lay out with umbrellas in our drinks while chatting mindlessly about life. Aaaaaaaah, that sounds nice :)
